Tainan AFB

Long live Google maps and Satellite view.
No more printing tickets and then being allowed to drive around to find the right spotter’s place near an airbase.
Also the fact that you can find the weather forecasts including wind direction everywhere on the internet, where the sun will stand at a given time makes it our hobby once so easy.

Our spotter’s place in the morning reminds me directly of the big biting red ants wriggling in the grass and on our legs. 😉
Anyway, the path is long enough not to have to stand in the ant’s nest. 😉

Mm’s used: 150mm (C-130) to 390mm (F-CK-1’s)

During the morning we also saw several aircraft arriving for the Tainan Airshow which continued this coming weekend.

During a short break around noon it was time to find another place.
We found these near some vegetable gardens, where you can put the car to the side.

Used mm’s: 415mm (F-16’s)
